The Print Plan

This is the font list I have created for my print products showcasing the arrange of fonts that could have been used for my magazine and further my web design ideas. The final font that was chosen was Bauhaus '93 as it feels that it fits the 70s vibe more than the other fonts that I decided to include. 

My colour scheme for the print products include:

 

 

The ideas for my first magazine would be: 

 Name / Masthead = Vibe '74

 Main cover line = "70s are back in!"

 Cover line = "From Boho to Bowie: Iconic looks that still slay" , "Vintage heat: How to nail 1970s     Summer style" and "Amp it up: How music still shapes our style"

 Colour scheme = Would be the arrange of colours that correlate with the 1970s/ Fore example, the colours above

 Fonts = This would be from the font list and would be Bauhaus 93 font

 Images = This would be of me or my friend

 Main cover line = "Where the past meets now"

 Cover line = "Peace, Prints & Perfect denim" , "Fever dreams: Glitter, Groove & after hours glam" 

 Colour scheme = Would be the arrange of colours that correlate with the 1970s/ Fore example, the colours above

 Fonts = This would be from the font list and would be Bauhaus 93 font

 Images = This would be of me or my friend

The first content page idea would be

That there would be quite a few pictures that include people in the chosen style of fashion and accessories that look similar to the era of the 1970s.

This would have multiple sections - The Groove Report (this would be trendy looks, new looks and 70s revival), Get the Look (this would be a beauty how to that is inspired by disco divas, flower children and glam queens), The Scene (this would be where fashion meets nightlife, also including music and retro culture) , Icons and Muses ( includes tributes to 70s legends and interviews with the modern day vintage queens), Backstage Pass (this is a behind the curtains of photoshoots, concerts and studio 54 dreams), Mood-board (this would be a visual spread of colour, texture, pattern and attitude that is era inspired), The Vintage Vault (a deep dive into iconic looks , old editorials  and fashionable flashbacks).

There would also be a selected range of colours that fit the 70s theme. A QR code could also be included to take them to the website. The contents page could include relevant slang terms from the 70s such as "Can You Dig It?" , "Stayin' Alive" and "Outta Sight". Finally, on the contents page it could include an editorial vibes note which could be in the form of a small handwritten note from the editor. For example: "This issue is dedicated to the bold babes, disco hearts and the midnight moves...").

The second content page idea would be:

 In this I would use a few different colours but similar to the first one due to the colour scheme. For this like the first contents page I would add in a QR code that again would link to the website. On this content page it would include iconic references such as : "The Bianca Edit" , "Bowie Mood"  and  "Cher's Picks". This contents page could also include hand drawn flowers that could match the aesthetic of the contents page. 

This second contents page would include multiple sections and they are:

Disco Digest (Your high -glam hit list: top stories, shimmering editorials, and the sparkle you didn't know you needed.) Closet Confidential (Iconic outfits, bold accessories and fashion inspo pulled straight from your coolest aunt's attic), Lip Gloss & Leather (Bold beauty, smudged eyeliner and glossy rebellion - your 70s beauty playbook), Rock & Runaway (Where fashion meets funk, and style hits all the right notes. Think Bowie meets Vogue), The Boho Pages (Fringe, mood and style. The records shaping todays retro revival), Mind Expansion (Essays, manifestos & mini think pieces on art, politics, freedom and self expression), Astro-style (Cosmic fashion forecasts, zodiac aesthetics and what to wear when Mercury's retrograde), Flashback Files ( A nostalgic look at vintage campaigns, old school ads, polaroid moments and archival gold), The Style Trip (Travel meets trend: desert daze, Euro fashion trails and city looks with a retro soul) and The Manifesto (The opening letter or philosophy of the issue - a statement of style, rebellion and freedom). this would use different page numbers on the magazine.
