Plans for the Web Pages

Image
This is my home page for the website and a potential idea for what it could look like with it inspired by other designs of websites that I have seen.  This is my layout for my potential linked page that would showcase the many different clothes that would replicate a 70s style and would have the 70s aesthetic on the sides as well of other things like jewellery.

The Website Plan

Homepage Ideas  It would be a 70s styles with different clothes or different. With i ssues of the magazine, with a beauty section. The sections will include style, music, politics, advice and few more with the title centred.  Above the sections and the search button  and account button would go next to the sections.  This would potentially have discount or offers to engage the viewers as well as having more images as you scroll downwards to show the different types of styles or outfits in the 70s. Linked Page Ideas  The linked page would have a similar theme as the home page however like a vinyl thread it would be the shop of the website and new drops would be new releases, B-sides would be sale items and remastered would be updated classics and this page would be decorated with vinyl’s of the iconic artists/bands of the 70s and flowers like the home page but the vinyl’s and flowers would be on the left and right side of the columns of pictures of outfits in the...

The Print Plan

Image
This is the font list I have created for my print products showcasing the arrange of fonts that could have been used for my magazine and further my web design ideas. The final font that was chosen was Bauhaus '93 as it feels that it fits the 70s vibe more than the other fonts that I decided to include.  My colour scheme for the print products include:     The ideas for my first magazine would be:   Name / Masthead = Vibe '74  Main cover line = "70s are back in!"  Cover line = "From Boho to Bowie: Iconic looks that still slay" , "Vintage heat: How to nail 1970s     Summer style" and "Amp it up: How music still shapes our style"  Colour scheme = Would be the arrange of colours that correlate with the 1970s/ Fore example, the colours above  Fonts = This would be from the font list and would be Bauhaus 93 font  Images = This would be of me or my friend The ideas for my second magazine would be:  Name / Masthead...

Print Drafts

Image
This is an updated draft of the contents page with the background changes to highlight the contents of the magazine.  This is the second issue of the 70s magazine and follows a more vibrant colour scheme and 70s outfits are more recognisable and this would also be more aimed toward the target audience. This is the first volume of the magazine with the continuation of the 70s aesthetic with the outfit, flowers and the the font. This is one version of my contents page with an orange background instead of cream and compliments the images and the texts. This also includes records and the two volumes of the draft magazines.

Website Research - Harpers Bazaar

Harpers Bazaar This website you can also subscribe to get additional features or bonuses. The website doesn’t really have any similarities with the magazine as the magazine was a quite an old edition and the website has a more modern take on what the magazine should look like. The layout is different from the other two as it has the last part of magazine logo bigger than the first part which is squished between the two A’s. However, it does have the sections laid out underneath centred and they are fashion, beauty, culture, shopping, art, travel, bazaar at work and brides. It also show a woman on the top right corner in the same space as the logo. It doesn’t have many articles but quite a few photos leading into articles ranging from either one to five for each section. As for an active audience this company it advertises what the models wear and the brands of what they are and again does not have an audience interaction for the articles but many social media accounts. The social medi...

Website Research - Vogue

The layout if the website is set out formally as it is quite a popular magazine and is targeted towards an audience of young adults. It has the title centred at the top of the magazine as well as the sections underneath of fashion, beauty, arts/lifestyle, runway, shopping, news, video, vogues shop and the business with its own sections. The layout as well shows quite big pictures of the articles either layed out four in a row or a major picture with smaller article photos accompany them. The similarities of the website and the magazine is that they have the same fonts for the title and the and keeping up with celebrities as well as modern fashion. Within the website it keeps an active audience as it has its own shop as well as advertising other brands such as Jimmy Choo it does not have any comments or likes for is articles.
